Centre for the Humanities and Health Research Seminars

As some of you may know, we hold monthly research seminars at the Centre, where we invite prominent figures in the Medical Humanities to present their work to an audience. Seminars are open to the public and we welcome all who would like to attend.

The next seminar at the Centre will be given by Roger Smith, who is a Reader Emeritus at Lancaster University and a visiting fellow at Moscow’s Academy of Sciences. Roger will be speaking on “Why the History of the Human Sciences Matters to Medicine”. The seminar will be held on 1 December 2010 at 18.00 in the Old Anatomy Theatre, King’s College London, Strand Campus, WC2R 2LS (maps). More information can be found on the Events page of the CHH Website.

I’d also like to mention some of our upcoming seminars. We have a number of brilliant speakers coming to the Centre over the next few months, and seminars covering a wide range of topics. The full list is below. If you would like to attend any of the seminars, please just turn up on the day (with the exception of Michael Clark’s seminar, which will need an RSVP). If you have any questions about any of the seminars or their locations, please let me know: ben.chisnall@kcl.ac.uk.
