Last weekend 3 members of CHH, Stefan Wagner, Elselijn Kingma and myself, spent a couple of days at Cumberland Lodge for an outreach programme with a group of 6th form students. Here’s a brief write up of my thoughts on the weekend, outlining the value of critical thinking for prospective university applicants. I hope the pilot programme will expand in the future, offering more students a weekend retreat to think about their aspirations for university and develop the kinds of thinking skills that they’ll need, whatever subject they choose to study.
