Please come to hear three brilliant speakers discuss the medical humanities in relation to ageing! On 23 November, Professor Teresa Casal of the University of Lisbon will deliver a paper entitled “Now she was a shadow”: Experiencing ageing in Jennifer Johnston’s novel Two Moons. On 30 November, Dr Michael Clarke of KCL and UCL will present ‘The Shock of the Old: Old Age, Evasion and the Limits to Medicine and Health Care in ‘Full Circle’ (2012), a Chinese Geriatric Road Movie’. On 7 December, Professor David Amigoni (Keele University) will talk about Late Life Creativity (full title to be announced). All seminars will begin at 6pm and will be held at the Strand Campus in the Small Committee Room (K0.31).
